Scholarship Information and Criteria

 

  1. Applicant must be a student who has been indirectly affected by virtue of a blood relative i.e., father, mother being directly affected by the five year school closing in Prince Edward County, Virginia in 1959-1964.
  2. Applicant must be a high school senior.
  3. Applicant must be accepted by an accredited two or four year college/university and must provide proof of enrollment before actual allocation of the awarded funds.
  4. The application must be received on or before March 15th.
  5. The number and the amount of scholarship awarded will be based on the availability of funds.
  6. Recipients will be notified by May 15th.
  7. All winners must agree to sign a release of their name and photograph for publication use.
